Sagle, Idaho's plumbing & water heater specialists.
We warm up your day!™
Sagle wraps the south end of Lake Pend Oreille, and just about every property out here pulls from a private well. Iron staining on the laundry, sulfur smell at the kitchen tap, hardness scale on every fixture, pressure that swings depending on the season — these are normal Sagle calls for us, not unusual ones. We're licensed Idaho plumbers and full-service water filtration installers, and we treat Sagle as one of the most demanding water markets in our service area. Sandpoint shop, ten minutes south, family-owned since 2005.
Before we recommend a single piece of equipment, we run a comprehensive lab water test that tells us exactly what's coming out of your well — hardness in grains, iron in ppm, manganese, sulfur, pH, total dissolved solids. Then we design the system around your actual numbers: whole-home filtration, softener, sediment pre-filter, iron and sulfur removal, UV purification when bacteria's a concern. Beyond filtration we handle the rest of the water side of a Sagle home — water heater installs, tankless conversions for the bigger lake homes, hydronic boiler work, and the everyday plumbing that comes with rural property maintenance.
When your water heater fails at 6am on a Tuesday, you don't want a generalist. You want the people who've installed 2,500+of them across Bonner and Kootenai counties. That's all we do — water heaters, tankless, boilers, hydronic radiant, filtration. We do it better than anyone in North Idaho.
Every other plumber in Sandpoint says “call for a quote.” We'll tell you up front where pricing starts. Your exact number lands in writing after a free in-home assessment — no surprises on install day.

Most Saglehomeowners call us when one of these shows up. Some are same-day emergencies; some can wait until tomorrow. We'll tell you which on the phone — and we'd rather you call once and not need us than wait too long and end up needing a major water-damage cleanup.
No hot water at the tap
Cold showers, lukewarm tap. Could be a failed gas valve, blown heating element, or pilot issue. Same-day Sagle water heater repair for emergencies — call us first.
Water pooling around the tank
Active leak — this is an emergency. Don't try to drain the tank yourself; old drain valves rarely reseal once cracked. Photograph the leak, call us, we bring the right parts on the first trip.
Popping or rumbling sounds
Sediment buildup at the tank floor. Reduces efficiency, shortens lifespan. Annual Sagle water heater service (about 90 minutes on the truck) clears it before it kills your unit.
Rust-colored hot water
Anode rod is gone, tank lining is corroding. Weeks to failure, sometimes days. Replace proactively — emergency replacement after a tank fails plus water-damage cleanup costs 4–5× a planned swap.
Pilot won't stay lit
Thermocouple, gas valve, or venting issue on a gas water heater. We diagnose on the truck — most Sagle pilot-light fixes are same-visit.
Hot water runs out fast
Heating element failure (electric tanks), broken dip tube, or the tank's just sized wrong for your household. We can repair or recommend a tankless / larger tank that actually fits your usage.

“The water heater in our building failed; the tank had ruptured, was leaking into the pan, and had actually started to seep into the subfloor. What a mess and a headache!! I definitely didn't want to deal with this, and I was worried about getting taken for a ride.
These guys were on it immediately, made sure we were f…”
“Tyson responded to an issue we were having with our radiant floor heater boiler. I was out of the country trying to coordinate over the phone, and immediately felt relief when Tyson responded to my message. I appreciate that he specializes in these kind of systems, but also is from a family that does standard plumbing.…”
“Tyson came out quickly, diagnosed the problem, and ordered the needed part which he identified as under warranty. When the part was delivered he installed it efficiently, made a few plumbing additions, performed some system maintenance, and we were up and running. Sagle, Idaho — FAQ
Do you service Sagle, Idaho?+
Yes. Sagle is part of our regular service area as a Sagle plumber and water heater specialist. Our shop is on McGhee Road in Sandpoint, and we run trucks across all of Bonner County every week. Same-day Sagle plumbing service available for emergencies, and we book ahead for installs and scheduled maintenance.
How fast can you get to Sagle for an emergency?+
Same-day for most no-hot-water and active-leak emergencies during business hours (M–F 8am–7pm). We're typically on-site within 2 hours from your call. Our after-hours emergency line is live for no-hot-water calls — a real owner picks up.
What does a Sagle water heater installation cost?+
Depends on the specifics — every Sagle job is different. Tank replacements, tankless conversions, and hybrid heat-pump installs each have different scope drivers (fuel type, venting, gas line condition, the unit selected). We give you a real number in writing before any work starts, with all options on one page. Free estimate.
Do you work on well water in Sagle?+
Yes. Many properties in Bonner County are on private wells. We do comprehensive lab water testing, whole-home filtration, water softeners, iron and sulfur removal, and UV purification. We test first, recommend after — never the other way around. Sagle well water characteristics matter for sizing equipment correctly.
What water heater brands does your Sagle plumbing company install?+
Bradford White, Navien, Rinnai, Rheem, and A.O. Smith primarily. Factory-authorized on Navien and Rinnai for tankless. As your local Sagle plumber, we don't push a brand because the rebate is bigger that month — we'll tell you straight which unit fits your home best.
Do you offer warranty on Sagle water heater installations?+
Yes. Written labor warranty on every install (1 year standard, longer on tankless and hybrid heat-pump installations). Manufacturer parts warranties registered for you at install time. Both transfer to the next homeowner if you sell — buyers love seeing a documented WHU install in the disclosure packet.
Are you a licensed plumber working in Sagle?+
Yes. We're Idaho-licensed plumbers, fully bonded and fully insured. Proof of insurance available on request — your homeowner's insurance company can have it the same day. Tyler is a master plumber with 20+ years of plumbing and gas-fitting experience; Tyssen is factory-trained on every modern tankless and hybrid system. We're a family-owned Sagle plumbing company, not a franchise.
Do you do new construction in Sagle?+
Yes. We work with builders and general contractors on whole-home rough-in, hydronic system design, code-compliant gas and venting, and luxury / lake-house installs. Builder pricing available for spec packages. We'll work to your construction schedule and pull permits where required.
Can your Sagle plumbing company help with hard water and filtration?+
Yes — water filtration is a major part of what we do as a Sagle plumber. Hardness, iron, sulfur, and manganese are common in Bonner County private wells. We pull a comprehensive lab water test before recommending any equipment, then size whole-home filtration or a softener specifically for your numbers. We won't sell you an oversized system based on a quick test strip.
